APS has shut down power to areas of Flagstaff and Grand Canyon due to high wildfire risk. KPUB is operating normally on generator power. KNAU is operating at low power. on 88.7 in Flagstaff. On-air service in Kingman, Payson and Show Low will be unavailable during this APS outage. Grand Canyon is also off the air. Streaming is not affected. There is no estimate at this time as to when APS will restore power to the area. Thank you for your patience.

Flood Risk Reduction Workshop

The City of Flagstaff Stormwater section is hosting two community seminars by Floodproofing.com on Tuesday, Sept. 17 at 9 - 11 a.m. and on Wednesday, Sept. 18 at 4 - 6 p.m. at the Murdoch Center (203 E Brannen Ave). Both workshops are free to attend.

The seminars will cover various topics including floodproofing product options, property risk assessment, risk rating policy updates, and the cost and benefits of insurance options including the National Flood Insurance Program. The private party vendor leading the workshops is recognized by the Association of State Floodplain Managers as one of the leading firms in flood risk reduction and flood insurance.
