Grand Canyon Archaic: An Exploration
Deep in the Grand Canyon lie a few dozen panels of a visionary style of rock art painted on cliff faces thousands of years ago. Writer Scott Thybony will recount a National Geographic expedition undertaken in 1998 to explore the visual remnants of an archaic world where the old boundaries dissolve, where animals walk on two legs and humans sprout antlers.
