The Sedona International Film Festival is proud to partner with award-winning surround sound composer and producer Koz Mraz for “Jimi Hendrix: Electric Ladyland in Surround Sound” on Thursday, Feb. 5 at 7 p.m. at the Mary D. Fisher Theatre.

Electric Ladyland is the third and final studio album by the Jimi Hendrix Experience. Attend this experience with an open mind and prepare to be blown away!
Released in1968 this double album was the only record with production solely credited to Hendrix and his most commercially successful album. Released by Reprise Records in the United States it was Jimi’s only album that reached number 1 on the Billboard Top LPs charts, spending two weeks there.
In England, Track Records art department produced a cover image depicting nineteen nude women lounging in front of a black background. Hendrix expressed initial displeasure and surprise with this "naked lady" cover which he found disrespectful. The cover was banned by several record dealers as "pornographic", while others sold it in a brown wrapper.
Presented by Award-Winning Surround Sound composer/producer Koz Mraz (Discus Award, 5.1 Category 2001, Communicator Surround Award 2002, Aurora Surround Award & Surround Grammy nominee 2005). A College Professor at Citrus College, Glendale, and Pasadena College, Mraz taught classes in music production, audio engineering, and broadcast technology for over 15 years. He offers educational presentations via the Fair Use Doctrine of the U.S. Copyright Statute. Under the fair use doctrine of the U.S. copyright statute, it is permissible to use portions of a copywritten work for purposes such as commentary, criticism, and education.
