Prescott Valley Public Library: Youth S.T.E.A.M. Lab – Food Science, November 6, 2025 (In Person program) – Pre-registration required

Prescott Valley Public Library invites young scientists to join us for an exciting hands-on S.T.E.A.M. adventure exploring the science behind everyday snacks!

Step into the role of food scientists this November and uncover the hidden science in your snacks! In this interactive lab, participants will use iodine to test common foods—like potatoes, bananas, bread, and rice—to discover which ones are packed with starch. Kids will make predictions, perform experiments, and observe fascinating color changes while learning about carbohydrates, chemical reactions, and how plants store starch.

This program, presented in partnership with Yavapai Exploration and Science (Y.E.S), encourages curiosity, critical thinking, and a love for discovery.

Pre-registration is required for this event.
