STAR Party @ Red Rock State Park

STAR Party @ Red Rock State Park

As telescopes of the Astronomers of Verde Valley look overhead into the night sky after sunset, the wonders of the Milky Way will come to life through the eyes of the telescopes. During our event, the night sky will feature a young waxing crescent moon, marking the post-vernal equinox period and providing excellent spring viewing conditions. A rare, significant alignment of six planets will also be in progress: Mercury, Venus, Neptune, Saturn, Uranus, and Jupiter. The program begins with a presentation by one of the Astronomers followed by telescope viewing. Snacks and drinks sponsored by Keep Sedona Beautiful.
A $16 online registration fee is required per person.
