Tech Savvy for Seniors: The iPhone Camera

Tech Savvy for Seniors: The iPhone Camera
Turn your everyday snapshots into jaw-dropping keepsakes without frustration or confusion! On Saturday, September 27, 2025, at 11 a.m. the Mary D. Fisher Theatre’s giant movie screen becomes a live “HOW-TO” canvas for our 90-120 minute iPhone Camera workshop designed especially for the inner Photog in you.
Whether you own Apple’s latest iPhone powerhouse or an iPhone 11 that’s never ventured beyond the shutter button, you’ll see every tap and swipe magnified in real time, hear clear step-by-step guidance, and play side-by-side with friendly coaches Dawn and Marie Cobalt who understand and know all about great iPhone photography.
What you’ll explore:
1. Shoot with confidence
• Discover the on-screen controls that professional photographers rely on such as focus lock, exposure slider, optical zoom choices and Portrait blur.
• Capture dazzling Sedona reds in wide-angle landscapes, crisp close-ups of flowers, and people portraits that pop.
2. Master motion and sound
• Jump from photo to video in a heartbeat; Action mode keeps footage steady on a stroll; Cinematic mode adds that movie-style focus shift.
• Learn microphone tips so your grand-kid interviews sound as good as they look.
3. Tame your settings
• Turn on the hidden grid for perfect horizons, pick a default lens to match your style, and preserve favorite settings so the camera opens ready to shoot every time.
• Understand file formats HEIF, JPEG, ProRAW
4. Edit and share like a Pro
• Trim, straighten, brighten, and add pop-worthy color in under thirty seconds.
• Organize albums and share safely with AirDrop, Messages and posting on Social
