Urban Nocturnes Prescott Chamber Music Concert
Urban Nocturnes chamber ensemble will perform a concert featuring works composed by Arizona-based composer Glenn Stallcop on Saturday, September 21, 2024 at 7 p.m., at Trinity Presbyterian Church, 630 Park Avenue, Prescott, AZ 86303.
Urban Nocturnes members Viviana Cumplido, Erin Finkelstein, Karen Sinclair, Christopher McKay, Melita Hunsinger and pianist Andrew Campbell will play three pieces: Episodes, for violin, cello, and piano; Alt Shift, for flute, clarinet, violin, viola, cello, and piano, and Nuance de Noir, for flute/alto flute, bass clarinet, viola, and double bass, which was commissioned by the Telluride Chamber Music Association in 2022.
Urban Nocturnes is a modular chamber music ensemble of six outstanding professional classical musicians. Formed in 2013, they have appeared on classical concert series throughout Arizona, and are Artists-in-Residence at Trinity Cathedral in Phoenix. Pianist Dr. Andrew Campbell is Director of Collaborative Piano at ASU. Glenn Stallcop is a professional composer, recently retired from a career playing bass in The Phoenix Symphony. Tickets are $20, available at the door or online. Student tickets are $5 at the door. Proceeds benefit Prescott’s Coalition for Compassion and Justice.
