Watercolor Workshop

Watercolor Workshop

In this three-day workshop participants will learn basic and intermediate techniques for watercolor, and gouache painting. You will learn about multilayer painting, constructing a dynamic composition from simple shapes and values, color mixing practice and color theory, and receive critique on your work. This course is suitable for all skill levels, and the group size is capped at 14 for an intimate opportunity to learn from a professional artist. A list of course supplies will be provided.

Instructor Thomas Pomarico is a faculty member at Coconino Community College where he will be teaching art appreciation, drawing, and watercolor painting in the Fall semester. He attended the University of Michigan where he was a 3-year letter winner on the football team, and graduated with a major in Classical Civilizations and a minor in Screen Arts and Cultures. He recently completed a Master of Fine Arts degree at the University of Montana State in Bozeman. You can learn more about Tom here: https://www.thomaspomarico.com/
