'Wisdom of Happiness' Film Premiere
The Sedona International Film Festival is proud to present the Northern Arizona theatrical premiere of “Wisdom of Happiness” showing Oct. 24-30 at the Alice Gill-Sheldon Theatre.
From executive producers Richard Gere and Oren Moverman comes “Wisdom of Happiness” — a heart-to-heart with the Dalai Lama. The film was a hit when it premiered at the 2024 Sedona International Film Festival. It is now returning to Sedona for its theatrical debut.
“Wisdom of Happiness” shows us a timeless truth: happiness is still possible, even in the midst of chaos and uncertainty. This powerful message of hope is delivered as a personal audience with one of the greatest living thinkers, Nobel Peace Prize winner Tenzin Gyatso, known to billions around the world as the Dalai Lama.
Speaking as a member of our single global community, he shares practical wisdom for finding peace, compassion, and hope in the midst of chaos. With disarming clarity and deep humanity, he invites us to imagine — and help create — a world where compassion is activated as our strongest force for change, and happiness is within reach for everyone.
“Wisdom of Happiness” will be shown at the Alice Gill-Sheldon Theatre Oct. 24-30. Showtimes will be Friday, Saturday and Monday, Oct. 24, 25 and 27 at 3:30 p.m.; and Sunday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, Oct. 26, 28, 29 and 30 at 6:30 p.m.
Tickets are $12, or $9 for Film Festival members. For tickets and more information, please call 928-282-1177. Both the theatre and film festival office are located at 2030 W. Hwy. 89A, in West Sedona. For more information, visit: www.SedonaFilmFestival.org.
