The Prescott Farmers Market takes place Saturdays from 7:30am to 12:00pm at 900 Iron Springs Road (Dignity Health, YRMC Miller Valley lot at Iron Springs/Miller Valley) from April 6, 2024 through October 26, 2024. This market hosts local farmers, ranchers and food and craft vendors each week. Customers can find fresh specialty produce, meat, eggs, bread, baked goods, delicious ready-to-eat foods and more. As a vital part of the economy, the mission of Prescott Farmers Market is to support and expand local agriculture, cultivate a healthy community and increase access to affordable local food. We accept cash, credit, debit and DOUBLE EBT/SNAP benefits and issue coupons for WIC/CSFP! *Pets/support dogs are not allowed at the market. The Verde Valley Farmers' Market is hosting its' annual plant sale to benefit the market. The sale will offer locally grown annuals, perennials, vegetables, flowers, herbs, trees, houseplants. Garden art and tools will also be included. Two raffle items include a handsome local hand-crafted potting bench and a handy wheelbarrow donated by Camp Verde Ace Hardware. Master Gardeners of Yavapai County will be on hand to answer your gardening questions. Make sure to pick up a special posey for mom for Mothers Day . We will be taking cash or cards.

During this excursion, we will investigate a hilltop site in the Upper Verde River Wildlife Area, journeying through a lush ribbon of riparian habitat and climbing up the basalt cliffs to view this ancient architecture. This area boasts a rich and diverse wildlife community and has significant cultural value. We will discover the unique structure and layout of this ancient site, and learn about the latest research that sheds light on its possible functions. Get ready to travel through time and uncover the secrets of this incredible archaeological site!

Time: Meet in Chino Valley, AZ, at the Safeway at 8:00am and return at 5:00pm
Difficulty: This full-day adventure involves a 5-mile hike off-trail, a stream crossing, avoiding sun exposure and thorny bushes, and a steep climb and descent on unstable surfaces.
Food and Water: Bring your own lunch, water, and snacks for a full-day excursion.
