Park Service To Reopen Lake Powell Launch Ramp After COVID-19 Closure

NPS

The National Park Service is opening more of Glen Canyon National Recreation Area after much of it had closed because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Officials say beginning Wed, July 29 at 8 a.m. the public will again be able to access Antelope Point Public Launch Ramp on the south side of Lake Powell. Glen Canyon officials say they’re installing courtesy dock facilities and deploying staff for its quagga mussel containment efforts. Park Service managers say they have been phasing in public access at Lake Powell according to guidance from the White House, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and local and state health officials.
