Businesses In Yavapai County Allowed To Reopen With Restrictions

Yavapai County officials will allow some businesses that were ordered closed amid a surge in COVID-19 cases in the state to reopen with safety precautions and limited capacity.

According to guidelines issued last week by Gov. Doug Ducey, Yavapai County has what’s considered a "moderate" spread of the virus. It allows gyms to open with a quarter capacity, and bars that serve food and movie theaters to resume operations at half capacity.

Businesses will also have to comply with several other mitigation requirements from the Arizona Department of Health Services. Coconino County along with much of the state still has what's considered "substantial" spread of coronavirus, which forces bars, gyms and movie theaters to remain closed.
