Man Accused Of Stabbing, Beating Woman At Sedona-Area Resort

Yavapai County Sheriff's Office

Yavapai County Sheriff’s officials say a suspect has been arrested at a hotel near Sedona for allegedly beating and stabbing a woman inside a room.

They say deputies received a report early Saturday morning that a man had been hitting a woman inside a room at a resort in the Village of Oak Creek just south of Sedona. Authorities say the woman had multiple cuts and stab wounds on her head, left shoulder and chest and was taken to a Flagstaff hospital for treatment. Sheriff’s officials say Andre Scroggins is being held on suspicion of aggravated assault, endangerment, disorderly conduct with a deadly weapon and criminal damage.
