A recent report by the Navajo Times estimates Coconino, Apache and Navajo counties turned out overwhelmingly for President-elect Joe Biden.
The three counties overlap with the Navajo Nation, and about 97 percent of voters supported the Biden-Harris ticket. Navajo Nation president Jonathan Nez congratulated Biden on his projected win of the presidential election. In a statement, Nez discussed his recent meeting with Biden and Harris. First Lady Phefelia Nez credited Dr. Jill Biden with helping to bring the first cancer treatment center to the Nation last year. Vice President Myron Lizer, a Republican, has not made a public statement.
