Scottsdale Man Accused Of Kidnapping A Woman Near Flagstaff

Coconino County Sheriff’s officials say a Scottsdale man is facing a kidnapping charge after allegedly forcing a woman into his car along Interstate 17 south of Flagstaff.

They say a 911 caller reported seeing a woman was strapped or tied to the front passenger seat of a vehicle at a gas station Tuesday morning. The caller also provided the vehicle’s license plate number and authorities identified the owner as 23-year-old Brandon Thomas Stewart.

Sheriff’s investigators pinged Stewart’s cellphone to determine his location and the vehicle was found and stopped on Interstate 40 east of Flagstaff. Authorities say Stewart was taken into custody without incident and booked into the Navajo County Detention Center.
