Coconino National Forest Officials Announce Full Closure Amid Extreme Fire Danger

NOTE: Officials with the Kaibab National Forest have also announced a full forest closure will take effect Wed, June 23 at 8 a.m. along with the Coconino National Forest.  

Coconino National Forest officials have announced a full closure starting Wed, June 23 at 8 a.m. because of extreme fire danger.

The public will be prohibited from entering any part of the forest at any time, and only those with private inholdings will be allowed access along with firefighters and support personnel. The closure will remain in effect until precipitation reduced the threat of wildfire.
