Flagstaff Remains In State Of Emergency Due To Flooding

KNAU

The city of Flagstaff remains under a declaration of emergency due to major flash flooding in some neighborhoods below the Museum Fire burn scar.

The declaration makes $200,000 in emergency funding available for response efforts. Torrential rain and subsequent severe flooding have closed roads and damaged property in neighborhoods near the base of Mt Elden. Sandbags are available outside the Coconino County Health Department on King Street. A helpline is available for those needing assistance, 928-679-8525. You can sign up for county emergency alerts at www.coconino.az.gov/ready, and follow real time updates on the county’s website, Facebook page and Twitter feed.
