Community College Enrollment Dips Nationwide, Yavapai College Offers Tuition-Free Incentives

Yavapai College has announced it will now offer a tuition-free semester for those pursuing certain types of certificates. They include 3D printing and manufacturing, unmanned aircraft systems, and advanced manufacturing technology. The college earlier this summer announced it would pay tuition for students at its new Verde Valley Skilled Trades Center in Clarkdale. The announcement comes as community colleges nationwide see a decline in enrollment. The National Clearinghouse Center reported a 9.5% dip in spring 2021 enrollment among the country’s two-year public colleges.
