The City of Flagstaff is accepting public comment on its draft 10-year housing plan.

According to officials, it defines the housing emergency in Flagstaff and presents policy initiatives to address it over the next decade. It also establishes goals to sustainably increase the number of available and affordable housing options and increases subsidies for those unable to afford housing.

The plan will be presented to the Flagstaff City Council for its consideration in Dec. 7. Public comments can be made on the city’s website through Nov. 5.

The City Council declared a housing emergency last year amid runaway costs.
