Coconino County Sheriff’s Office searching for man missing since January

Jose Alvarado has been missing from Yuba, Calif., since January 2021. His white Kia was found in the woods near Jacob Jake in October.

The Coconino County Sheriff’s Office is searching for a California man who visited northern Arizona earlier this year.

Jose Alvarado has been missing from Yuba, California since January and it’s believed he traveled through Kingman, Williams and Tuba City.

His white Kia was discovered in the forest north of Jacob Lake Tuesday. Alvarado is Hispanic and 60 years old, 5-foot-10 inches tall and 220 pounds with brown eyes and gray hair.

Officials are asking anyone who may have had contact with him to reach out to the sheriff’s office at (928) 774-4523 or Silent Witness at (928) 774-6111.
