Man dies in suspected suicide after vehicle goes over the rim of Grand Canyon

Authorities say a man is dead after driving a vehicle over the western rim of the Grand Canyon in an apparent suicide. The man's name, age and hometown weren't immediately available Wednesday. The marketing director for the Grand Canyon Resort Corporation says the man was alone in the vehicle. Grand Canyon West is on the Hualapai reservation, outside the boundaries of Grand Canyon National Park. Officials there say they are fully cooperating with authorities investigating the incident, and on the recovery of the body and vehicle.
