Harvard to End Early Admissions Policy

Harvard University announced Tuesday that it plans to end its early admissions program, which critics say favor wealthy, privileged students who can commit to an expensive college before reviewing financial-aid opportunities at other institutions.

Louis Hirsh, head of admissions at the University of Delaware -- which announced the end of its own early admissions program last May -- talks with Madeleine Brand about his school's decision.
