Disputing a Speeding Ticket: 120 vs. 205 mph
NPR's Michele Norris talks with Scotty Ard of Midwest Quick Throttle Magazine. The magazine's November issue features an interview with Samuel Tilley, a 20-year-old motorcycle enthusiast accused of breaking the Minnesota state speed to the tune of 205 miles an hour. While Tilley has shied away from the press, he told Quick Throttle that his bike simply cannot go that fast. Ms. Ard agrees with him.

Helsinki's deputy mayor was caught spray-painting a rail tunnel
Paavo Arhinmaki was finishing his graffiti mural when police officers spotted him and a friend. He's blamed for $3,000 worth of damage to the tunnel, but it's unclear whether he'll face charges.

Stargazers in Alaska recently saw a rare sight while checking out the Northern Lights
They saw a ghostly, light-blue swirl in the sky. Researchers say it was excess fuel expelled from a SpaceX rocket. That fuel turned into ice in the atmosphere and reflected light from the sun.

Utah is in a state of emergency as melting snow is likely to cause months of flooding
The state experienced record snowfall last winter, and as snow melts, it could cause natural disasters, such as avalanches and mudslides, Gov. Spencer Cox says.

Video captured the turtle relaxing in the Chicago River, and it was suggested she might want to lose some weight. A wildlife biologist says the turtle looks big because it's probably loaded with eggs.
