How did a blue trash can from South Carolina end up in Ireland?
The can from Myrtle Beach made the 3,500 journey across the Atlantic Ocean. A resident in County Mayo discovered it, and posted photos online. Officials say it probably washed away during a storm.

A Texas bar wants Mariah Carey's holiday hit only played in December
Carey had a hit with "All I Want For Christmas Is You." There's a sign in a Dallas bar the warns: her song will be skipped if played before Dec. 1. After that, it is only allowed one time a night.

After 100 years, Boise Public Library gets a missing book back
The book was checked out Nov. 8, 1911, and it's still in great condition. The Idaho library did away with fines for late books two years ago. Otherwise the fine could have been around $1,800.

A short supply of LEGOs is attributed to an increase in thefts
Earlier this year an Oregon man was accused of stealing $7,500 worth of LEGOs. And in Germany, burglars broke through the wall of a toy store over the weekend to steal dozens of LEGO sets.

For the first time, a Black Santa will greet kids at U.S. Disney parks
The jolly old elf has been spotted in Florida's Disney World and California's Disneyland. A spokesperson said Disney wanted Santa to represent the diversity of the parks' surrounding communities.

60 containers fall overboard when ship traveling to New York hit a storm
The ship headed to New York from Taiwan encountered a storm near the Azores on Jan. 15. Among the goods that went overboard were two cookbooks. Their release has been delayed for several months.

If you drive an older Honda or Acura, take a good look at your clock
Drivers of the older models cars woke up on Jan. 1 to find that instead of changing for the new year, their clocks skipped back to the year 2002. A fix for the issue is in the works.

A lost letter is delivered unopened, 76 years after it was sent
A few months after World War II, Sgt. John Gonsalves wrote home from his posting in Germany. He assured his mother that he was fine. Last month the letter turned up in a Pittsburgh post office.

A 1962, near-mint copy of 'The Incredible Hulk' comic sells for record price
The comic, in which the Hulk appears in his original grey, not his signature green, sold for almost half a million dollars at auction. It's the most expensive copy of the first Hulk story ever sold.
