Arizona State Music Teachers Association (ASMTA) and the NAU Kitt School of Music present internationally-acclaimed pianist ALON GOLDSTEIN in a solo recital of works by JS Bach, Schubert, Chen Yi, Philip Glass, Florence Price, and Chopin. This recital is presented as part of the 94th ASMTA Conference (May 30 – June 1, 2024), featuring Alon Goldstein as the conference artist. Praised for his “stylish and spirited playing” by the Chicago Tribune, Alon Goldstein is one of the most original and sensitive pianists of his generation, admired for his musical intelligence, dynamic personality, artistic vision and innovative programming. He has played with the Philadelphia orchestra, the Chicago Symphony, the San Francisco, Baltimore, St. Louis, Dallas, Houston, Toronto and Vancouver symphonies as well as the Israel Philharmonic, London Philharmonic , Los Angeles and Radio France Orchestra. He currently holds the position of Distinguished Visiting Professor at the University of Missouri - Kansas City.
During his residency at the 94th ASMTA Conference, Alon Goldstein will also deliver a lecture on Thursday, May 30 at 4:00PM and will teach a public piano masterclass on Saturday, June 1, 2024 at 1:00PM in Kitt Recital Hall.
