Flagstaff Piano Festival: ALEXANDER KOBRIN in Concert

Flagstaff Piano Festival: ALEXANDER KOBRIN in Concert

Flagstaff Piano Festival presents the 2005 acclaimed gold medalist at the 12th Van Cliburn International Piano Competition, ALEXANDER KOBRIN, in a solo recital featuring works by Beethoven, Schubert, and Tchaikovsky.  Referred to as ‘the Van Cliburn of today” by BBC, Kobrin “surrendered neither the smoothness nor the dynamic fluidity that the modern piano allows, and he gave his sense of fantasy free rein, creating an almost confessional spirit ” (The New York Times). Alexander Kobrin is a member of the piano faculty at the Eastman School of Music. Tickets are $30 for general admission and $25 for seniors.

During his residency at Flagstaff Piano Festival, Alexander Kobrin will also teach a public piano masterclass on Monday, June 24, 2024 at 10:00AM-12:00PM in Kitt Recital Hall.  Admission to the masterclass is free.
