Master Chorale of Flagstaff Presents: Handel's Judas Maccabaeus
In the third concert of its 2023-2024 season, Master Chorale of Flagstaff performs George Frideric Handel’s Baroque masterpiece, Judas Maccabaeus. This oratorio depicts the story of Israelites achieving freedom from the rule of the Seleucid Empire. Handel’s music portrays the dramatic journey from mourning to jubilation in a celebration of liberty and peace. This performance includes a chamber orchestra and four professional soloists.
