Meet Us at the Trailhead: Prime Lake

Meet Us at the Trailhead: Prime Lake

Meet us at the trailhead: Prime Lake In-Person
This 2 mile hike will take us around Prime Lake, an ephemeral water source on Anderson Mesa. This is a good spot to view birds, and possibly spot some elk and antelope.

What you'll need: transportation to and from the trailhead, water, snacks, sun protection, and shoes for hiking. Please no dogs on this adventure.

How to get there: From Flagstaff, travel approximately 9 miles south on Lake Mary Road. Turn east (left) on Forest Road 128 towards the NPOI Observatory. Continue on the paved road until it tops out next to the NPOI entrance at 35.100375, -111.536539.

Please note that this program will be canceled if the forest is closed to public access. Last minute notices will be sent via remind text - text @efclad to 81010 to join. Standard messaging rates apply, must be 13+ to join.
