Paradise Valley Community College is offering a class in which students will work on actual cold cases under the guidance of a retired police lieutenant. No prerequisites or special knowledge is required to take the class, AJS 198AF: Special Topics in the Administration of Justice (https://tinyurl.com/AJS198). Class meetings are scheduled for Mondays and Wednesdays, 10:30am - 12:10pm, beginning September 16 and going until December 13, at the PVCC Union Hills Campus, 18401 N. 32nd Street, Phoenix, AZ 85032. Every morning, a volunteer naturalist leads a guided nature walk informing visitors about the different life zones of Red Rock State Park. The subjects discussed on this walk may include geology, wildlife, history, archeology, and plant life. The naturalists welcome questions during the walk, enhancing the learning experience.
This hike is included with your park entrance fees but are first-come.

AVGC 2025 Garden Tour Press Release
Alta Vista Garden Club, Prescott Arizona, presents a garden tour on Saturday June 21, 2025, from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Guests will experience creative blends of perennials, annuals, native plants and vegetables located in five private gardens in Prescott's varied landscapes.
All gardens will include a Master Gardener and club members to answer gardening questions, as well as artists and musicians to add ambience to each garden setting.
On the day of the tour the program, maps and wristband entry IDs will be available at Yavapai College, off Shelton Street in Prescott, between 8:00 AM and 11:00 AM.
Tickets are limited. Only 700 tickets available. They can be purchased for a $20 donation at local merchants including: Prescott Valley Nursery, Watter's Nursery, Mortimer's Nursery, Native Garden Nursery, Rafters 11, The Lookout and Earthworks Nursery. Tickets are also available by visiting www.altavistagardenclub.org, click on the "Garden Tour" tab to purchase tickets using the PayPal account on the website. A small additional fee will apply.
Proceeds from the event go toward the Alta Vista Garden Club's work in local education, conservation and beautification projects.
