Applications are open for the 32nd Durango Autumn Arts Festival presented by the Durango Arts Center, on September 19 & 20, 2026. This fine arts and crafts juried show serves as the DAC’s signature fundraising event, and there is a $50 nonrefundable application fee. The application deadline is May 1, and forms are available online at www.durangoarts.org.
FORM & FACE: Abstract Bodies and Masked IdentitiesApril 24th – May 31st, 2026
This dynamic exhibition features the work of acclaimed artists Zarco Guerrero and Kevin Titzer, exploring the intersections of abstraction, the human form, and identity. Through sculptural masks, figurative assemblage, and evocative materials, Form and Face challenges viewers to consider how identity is constructed, concealed, and revealed. Join us for the opening reception on April 24, 2026, and experience this bold exploration of body and persona.

This event, known as parkrun, takes place every Saturday morning - same time, same place, same 5K distance. Run, walk, jog, walk the dog, push the grandchildren in a stroller, or volunteer - this event is free, for everyone, forever. It is an opportunity to get outside into the fresh air with a bunch of like-minded folks. It’s is worldwide. The Prescott Farmers Market takes place Saturdays from 7:30am to 12:00pm at 900 Iron Springs Road (Dignity Health, YRMC Miller Valley lot at Iron Springs/Miller Valley) from April 4 through October 31, 2026. This market hosts local farmers, ranchers and food and craft vendors each week. Customers can find fresh specialty produce, meat, seafood, eggs, bread, baked goods, delicious ready-to-eat foods and more. As a vital part of the economy, the mission of Prescott Farmers Market is to support and expand local agriculture, cultivate a healthy community and increase access to affordable local food. The inaugural Prescott Valley Book Fest takes over the Public Library and Civic Center, creating a new literary celebration for readers and writers of all ages looking for creative and bookish fun. From 10am to 5pm, the Prescott Valley Public Library will host a day of stories, inspiration, and engaging literary activities for the whole family!
Whether you’re into gripping mysteries, children’s stories, a swoon-worthy romance, spine-tingling horror stories, Jane Austen, fantasy, and more, you’ll have the chance to meet the authors behind the stories, attend book signings, and browse books and fun merch from specialized literary and artistic vendors.
The Prescott Valley Book Fest features dedicated programming for adults, teens, and children. Some events include:

We’re excited to announce that Living History interpreters will be at the Ft. Whipple Museum on the first Saturday of each month from 10 AM to 3 PM, April through November.
Join us for our next Living History Day on Saturday, May 2, 2026.
Interpreters dressed in accurate period attire will discuss and demonstrate the use of military and medical artifacts from the time when Ft. Whipple was in operation. Demonstrations will include medical tools, firearms, and other items commonly found in the kit of a typical trooper stationed on the Arizona frontier.
As with Living History Adventure on the main Sharlot Hall Museum campus, Living History at Ft. Whipple Museum runs from April through November.Admission to the Ft. Whipple Museum is free to the public, including during first-Saturday Living History days.
The Ft. Whipple Museum is open Fridays and Saturdays, 10 AM to 4 PM.
