The Sedona Visual Artists’ Coalition (SVAC) is pleased to invite art lovers and curious explorers alike to experience the 23rd Annual Spring Open Studios Tour, taking place over the weekend of April 24–26, 2026 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily. This free and popular self-guided event offers a rare opportunity to meet 55 working artists across 35 private studios throughout Sedona and the greater Verde Valley.
The Spring Open Studios Tour is a premier regional event offering visitors the unique opportunity to meet local artists, explore their creative processes, and purchase original works across diverse mediums like painting, ceramics, and jewelry. Spanning communities from Sedona to Clarkdale, the tour has been thoughtfully redesigned by the SVAC to minimize driving while maximizing the variety of talent on display. In addition to discovering one-of-a-kind art, attendees can enter a free studio-wide drawing for a $250 gift certificate, redeemable at any participating location.
Maps and informative brochures featuring artist listings and studio locations will be available leading up to the Tour at select locations throughout the community and online at https://sedonaartistscoalition.org. The website will also feature detailed artist profiles, mediums and up-to-date Tour information.
April is Alcohol Awareness Month. Learn how parents can talk to their children about alcohol use while building a resilient relationship with their child. Join us at the Downtown Flagstaff Public Library! Enjoy an afternoon of education for the parents and activities for youth. Ages 10-18 are encouraged to attend. Participating organizations include Flagstaff Youth Coalitions, Coconino County Health and Human Services, Flagstaff AA, Flagstaff Al-anon, and HOPE Coconino. The duplex-style Riordan Mansion remains one of the finest examples of American Arts and Crafts-style architecture open to the public today. Designed by the architect of the impressive El Tovar Hotelat the Grand Canyon, Charles Whittlesey, the homes were built in 1904 with indoor plumbing, hotand cold running water, central heat, and electric lights, reflecting the most modern technology anddesign of the time.Seen by guided tour only, the interiors of the Riordan family homes look essentially as they did in 1904.The homes showcase original family belongings including fine examples of early Stickley furniture.
Volunteer opportunities available include Front Desk, Interpretive Tours, Grounds and Maintenance services.

The Flagstaff Folk Festival will take place June 13-14. We are seeking music-loving, smile-wearing, laugh-inducing, easy-going, community-minded folk to fill a variety of essential festival positions in these areas: Musician Hospitality, Sound & Stage, Safety, Set-Up, Workshops, Guest Hospitality, Media, Merch Team, Vendor Hospitality and Tear Down. All shifts are 4 hours or less. You will get a free festival t-shirt and free admission for the remainder of the day when you volunteer.
