We invite you to volunteer at Riordan Mansion State Historic Park!
The duplex-style Riordan Mansion remains one of the finest examples of American Arts and Crafts-style architecture open to the public today. Designed by the architect of the impressive El Tovar Hotelat the Grand Canyon, Charles Whittlesey, the homes were built in 1904 with indoor plumbing, hotand cold running water, central heat, and electric lights, reflecting the most modern technology anddesign of the time.Seen by guided tour only, the interiors of the Riordan family homes look essentially as they did in 1904.The homes showcase original family belongings including fine examples of early Stickley furniture.
Volunteer opportunities available include Front Desk, Interpretive Tours, Grounds and Maintenance services.

Junk in the Trunk Vintage Market returns to WestWorld April 24–26, 2026, bringing three days of curated vintage treasures, artisan goods, and creative inspiration to Scottsdale. With more than 160 handpicked vendors from across the nation, the Market transforms over 120,000 square feet into a gathering place for makers, collectors, and treasure hunters alike.
Shoppers will find everything from antique furniture and vintage clothing to handmade jewelry, architectural salvage, and distinctive home décor, all carefully selected to offer a wide variety of styles and one-of-a-kind finds.

The Arizona Wine Country Artists Village invites visitors to experience its next juried fine art and fine craft fair, taking place over the weekend of April 24–26, 2026 (10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Friday and Saturday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday), at Old Town Activity Park in Cottonwood. This popular event will feature an exceptional lineup of local and regional artists and fine crafters. Admission is free, and the event is welcoming to families and leashed pets.
Old Town Activity Park is located just off Main Street at 187 E. Pima Street, placing the fair within easy walking distance of Cottonwood’s shops, galleries, restaurants, lodging and numerous wine tasting rooms. Nestled within the federally recognized Verde Valley American Viticultural Area (AVA), Artists Village is an ideal destination for a full day of art, food and wine country exploration. Highlights of the April fair will include:
-Top Regional Artists: A juried showcase of fine artists and fine crafters presenting original works in a variety of mediums.-Free Scavenger Hunt and Raffle: A popular, interactive scavenger hunt featuring donated artwork, with raffle prizes including a $500 cash grand prize.-Children’s Art Activity Tent: A hands-on creative space where kids can explore art-making in a fun, welcoming environment.

Browse an exciting silent auction, purchase a shelter merch shirt in an exclusive color, and strike a pose at our photo booth for some picture-perfect fun. Outside, the Bark Park will be filled with adorable (and adoptable) shelter pups, so be ready for tail wags and puppy kisses.
You will also hear from High Country Humane’s Executive Director, Tresban Rivera, about shelter updates & projects, and have the chance to meet members of our dedicated shelter team. Dress up, enjoy great food and drinks, and spend a beautiful day celebrating animals and the people who love them.

Learning more about the native plants in the Sedona area is a great way to enhance any hike. Our volunteer guides explain how plant life is interconnected with indigenous cultures, pioneer settlers, people in our contemporary times and wildlife.
