Bird enthusiasts join a naturalist for a guided walk appropriate for beginner and advanced birders. The Audubon Society has designated Red Rock State Park as part of the Lower Oak Creek Important Birding Area (IBA) because of the many species that live or visit here. Please meet up with the leader on the viewing deck above the visitor center. This walk is included with your park entry fee.

Every morning, a volunteer naturalist leads a guided nature walk informing visitors about the different life zones of Red Rock State Park. The subjects discussed on this walk may include geology, wildlife, history, archeology, and plant life. The naturalists welcome questions during the walk, enhancing the learning experience. We invite you to volunteer at Riordan Mansion State Historic Park!

The duplex-style Riordan Mansion remains one of the finest examples of American Arts and Crafts-
style architecture open to the public today. Designed by the architect of the impressive El Tovar Hotel
at the Grand Canyon, Charles Whittlesey, the homes were built in 1904 with indoor plumbing, hot
and cold running water, central heat, and electric lights, reflecting the most modern technology and
design of the time.
Seen by guided tour only, the interiors of the Riordan family homes look essentially as they did in 1904.
The homes showcase original family belongings including fine examples of early Stickley furniture.

Volunteer opportunities available include Front Desk, Interpretive Tours, Grounds and Maintenance services.

Get ready, Flagstaff! A brand new Farmers Market is coming to Heritage Square!

Starting Wednesday, June 11th, join us every Wednesday afternoon through September 25th for the Downtown Flagstaff Wednesday Farmers Market. We’ve partnered with Flagstaff Mountain Town Market to bring farm-fresh produce, local goods, and downtown pop-ups right to the heart of the city!

Unleash your inner artist at our Pop and Paint teen craft program! An instructor will provide step-by-step guidance as you create your own beautiful sunflower painting while sipping soda and meeting other teens. For teens, 13-18. Space is limited and registration is required. Register online, at the Youth Desk, or call 928.777.1537. Note: Group registration is not permitted; each teen must sign up separately. This program is presented with funding from the Friends of Prescott Public Library.

Stop by the NACA Oak Creek Overlook Vista for beautiful & authentic Native American crafts! Our Artisans can also be found at the Grand Canyon Tusayan Museum!

The Overlook Vista is open daily from 8 AM to 4 PM, depending on the weather. Crafts that can be found at our Artisans' tables include jewelry, ornaments, pottery, sculptures and much more! Check out the Oak Creek Overlook Facebook and Yelp pages for more info and up-to-date hours.

If you need help applying for or renewing AHCCCS Health Insurance, Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits, or other government assistance programs*,Helping Families in Needis here to help. While their mission is primarily to help families with children, individuals without children needing assistance are also welcome. Helping Families in Need is available every other Thursday from 9 am - 1 pm at the library. Drop in or call 1-800-298-4346 to set an appointment. Helping Families in Needis a non-profit organization whose mission is to make a lasting change in the lives of Arizona's children and their families by securing affordable health care and other resources for those most in need. *Note: This organization cannot help with government phone/internet programs.
