Extreme Weather Delays COVID-19 Vaccine Shipments To Some Arizona Counties

Health officials in some Arizona counties say delivery of COVID-19 vaccines have been delayed because of extreme weather in other areas of the country.

Coconino, Mohave and Yavapai counties have reported dose shortages as winters storms impact Texas and some parts of the central and eastern U.S.

First-dose appointments in Coconino County have been canceled Thursday and Friday affecting about 1,800 people. But Saturday appointments are still scheduled and second-doses are on track to be administered.

For more information, contact county health departments.
