A badger gets credit for finding Roman coins in a cave in northern Spain
More than 200 Roman coins — that could date back as far as the 3rd Century AD — have been found in the area so far. Researchers say the discovery is the largest ever in a cave in northern Spain.

A bulldog in Nova Scotia welcomed a litter of puppies. Seven were born at first, but the eighth puppy didn't look like the others. Its fur was green. It's a rare condition that will fade with time.

NASA Scramjet Sets a New Air-Speed Record
A NASA research jet sets a new air-speed record for air-breathing engines by traveling nearly 7,000 mph, or 10 times the speed of sound. After its release from beneath the larger craft's wing, a booster rocket ignited, sending the X-43A on its way. NPR's David Kestenbaum reports.
