L.A. Officials Hope Transfer of Inmates Will Stop Riots
Race riots in Los Angeles County jails have left two inmates dead, and authorities can't stop the riots or keep gang leaders from communicating with jailed followers. Authorities hope to end the violence by transferring inmates from riot-heavy jails to an underutilized jail in downtown Los Angeles.

SR 89A full daytime closures set to start Tuesday
SR 89A will be closed in both directions between the Owenby Way roundabout and the Midgley Bridge picnic area Tuesday through Thursday and again next week.
Airbus Pulls Lithium-Ion Battery Out Of Its A350
The A350 is Airbus' version of Boeing's Dreamliner, which was grounded because of fires started by the battery packs. The move makes the launch of the A350 less risky.

Mike Huckabee Urges People To Eat Mor' Chick-Fil-A
Conservative Christians are rallying on behalf of fast-food chain Chick-fil-A after comments by the restaurant's president in support of "traditional" marriage sparked a public outcry. The mayors of Boston, Chicago and San Francisco warned the chain not to come to their cities. But former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee and other conservatives have organized a pro-Chick-fil-A day.

L.A.'s Occupy Protest Attracts Homeless, Drugs
Occupy L.A. is camped out on the front lawn of City Hall in Los Angeles. A large number of homeless people are also camped there, causing the group to divide into sections on the lawn. The homeless are in an area referred to as Skid Row. The part-time protesters are in an area called Westwood, after a nice part of town.
