The ‘Tis Art Center & Gallery, in partnership with the Museum of Indigenous People, invites the public to experience “Journeys in Spirit 2026: Traditional and Contemporary Native Art.” This premier annual exhibition, held in Prescott, Arizona, is a free community event showcasing the rich cultural heritage and diverse artistic expressions of Native American artists. Running from May 13 through June 23, 2026, the showcase features a stunning collection of paintings, basketry, jewelry, photography, beadwork, and ceramics.

The exhibition highlights the extraordinary talent of artists with tribal affiliations including Hopi, Cherokee, Diné, Yaqui, Choctaw, Muskogee Creek, Yavapai, and more. Visitors will gain unique insight into the role of art as a vehicle for storytelling and the preservation of sacred traditions. Many participating artists live within their tribal communities, bringing authentic and powerful cultural narratives to this immersive gallery experience.

Event Location and Reception Details The exhibition is hosted at ‘Tis Art Center & Gallery, located at 105 South Cortez Street, Prescott, AZ 86303. A special Artist Reception will take place during Prescott’s 4th Friday Art Walk on May 22 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM. This reception offers a rare opportunity for guests to engage directly with the creators, learning about their specific techniques and the personal stories behind their work. Get involved in your library and community by joining Prescott Public Library's Teen Advisory Group (TAG)! TAG members plan and host library events for kids and teens as well as seek out service opportunities in the community. TAG is for teens in grades 6-12 and meets on the third Tuesday of the month at 4 pm. If you are interested in joining TAG, fill out the TAG Application or call Jennifer Kendall at 928.777.1500 ext. 5353. 

 In The Magic of Focus Stacking, Joe Webster will show different methods of creating images with extreme depth of field using a method known as focus stacking. Joe will use a variety of equipment set-ups, from inexpensive to very elaborate. He will explore several different focus methods, including manual focusing, in camera firmware, and software, along with using Photoshop and Lightroom to stitch everything together.  Focus stacking is particularly useful in a variety of genres, such as macro photography, landscapes, product photography, and astrophotography. Joe Webster, is an award-winning Prescott photographer, specializing in landscapes, macro images, and wildlife. His images have been published in national magazines, newspapers, and has appeared in galleries in Flagstaff, Wickenburg, Phoenix, and Prescott.

What started out as a small production on a dirt lot, has today turned into a thriving local market with food vendors, art, fresh produce, and more! The Flagstaff Community Market is dedicated to providing an outlet for small-scale vendors the opportunity to thrive in our community by giving them a place to sell their local, sustainably grown food as well as other hand-crafted products. This market also promotes education in the community and works to encourage those in rural and urban parts in the city to grow their own food. The Flagstaff Community Market started in 2000 and now has a partner market focused solely on supporting local artisans called the Flagstaff Urban Flea Market. Please come and enjoy each of the markets and discover what Flagstaff locals have in store for you!

FORM & FACE: Abstract Bodies and Masked Identities
April 24th – May 31st, 2026

This dynamic exhibition features the work of acclaimed artists Zarco Guerrero and Kevin Titzer, exploring the intersections of abstraction, the human form, and identity. Through sculptural masks, figurative assemblage, and evocative materials, Form and Face challenges viewers to consider how identity is constructed, concealed, and revealed. Join us for the opening reception on April 24, 2026, and experience this bold exploration of body and persona.
