Williams Man Suspected In Death Of Wife And Her Sister

Authorities in Coconino County have arrested a man suspected in the death of his wife and her sister at a home near Williams.

The Coconino County Sheriff's Office has not released any identities in the case or the manner of death. Officials were working Monday to notify the victims' relatives.

The sheriff's office says it received a call Sunday night from a state trooper saying he was flagged down by the man on a county road north of Williams. According to the sheriff's office, the man told the trooper he killed the two women.

The trooper detained the man. Sheriff's deputies later responded to the home and found the women dead inside.

Sheriff's Cmdr. Rex Gilliland says deputies were searching the home Monday. He says no one else lived there.
