Yavapai County Supervisors Hold Consideration Of Gun-Rights Order

Yavapai County officials have decided to hold off on making any decision about a proposed proclamation supporting the Second Amendment of the U.S. Constitution.

The Daily Courier reported Thursday that the Yavapai County Board of Supervisors made the announcement during a meeting in Prescott after hours of public input and a board discussion about the effectiveness of the gun-rights proclamation. Some advocates of the amendment say the board's proposed proclamation does not do much to combat red flag laws being considered in multiple states including Arizona. Officials say there are legal questions that need to be answered before a potential decision is reached.
