Arizona Congresswoman Lesko Selected To Serve On Trump's Impeachment Team

en.wikipedia.org

Arizona Congresswoman Debbie Lesko has been named to President Donald Trump’s Senate impeachment team.

The Arizona Republic reports the White House announced Monday that Lesko is among a group of Republican House members who will serve as advisers and surrogates who will speak on behalf of President Trump outside the Senate. The team members are expected to represent President Trump in media interviews and in the public setting but not on the Senate floor.

Lesko is a former state lawmaker of Peoria who won the Republican nomination in a special election for Arizona’s eighth congressional district after Republican Congressman Trent Franks resigned. She won a full congressional term in 2018.
