Drop-in to the weekly Casual Chess program, where adult and teen players of all levels are welcome. Whether you're brand new to the game, a casual player, or an advanced competitor, Casual Chess offers a supportive and engaging environment. Come play, learn, and enjoy chess with others in your community. Boards and clocks will be available.  Chess Meetup is held in partnership with Prescott Chess Club. Club membership is not required.

This exhibition celebrates drawing as a shared practice rooted in collaboration, and creative exchange. Artists affiliated with the Hozhoni Foundation, a nonprofit serving people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, worked alongside invited artists to create the drawings presented here, responding to one another’s ideas, marks, and approaches.

Throughout the exhibit, a rotating selection of curated student projects inspired by these works will extend the dialogue through observation, interpretation, and response.

All are welcome. All are related.

Carol Bettino will delve into some of the factors that cause writer's block, including perfectionism and fear, stress, procrastination, fatigue, and distractions. She will also offer suggestions for overcoming the factors that can lead to writer's block. Carol Bettino is a Psychotherapist in Private Practice. She works with individuals, couples, and families and is the author of two self-help books, "Directions: Your Roadmap to Happiness" and "Better Choices, Better Life". Carol conducts local workshops on different mental health topics and is an adjunct faculty instructor at Yavapai College. Prescott Writers is hosted by Central Arizona Writers and presented with funding from the Friends of the Prescott Public Library.
