Join us for a special sensory story hour for all voices in our community! On the third Wednesday evening of each month, enjoy an interactive telling of a story and participate in sensory activities. If you have an AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication) device, please bring it. For families and kids of all abilities. No registration required. This story hour is presented with support from FidgetPockets, with additional funding from the Friends of the Prescott Public Library.

Come enjoy a pint with us on the third Wednesday of each month while learning about the latest research in the ecological sciences!

Join us in Charly’s at the Weatherford for Wednesday Night Blues! Each week (with occasional exceptions, noted on the website), Dr. Bob Sellani (drums) and Roger Smith (bass) are joined by a rotating roster of local, regional, and national Blues artists, such as Chuck Hall, S.E. Willis, Darryl “Big Daddy D” Porras, and members of the Mother Road Trio. Please check the Weatherford's event calendar for this week's featured performer. $5 cover at the door. Flutterbys is just 8 weeks long, but more fun than you could imagine! Play games, stretch, learn aerial, and more with your family.

Keep your mini entertained and make long lasting memories with us on Thursdays at 9-9:45am. Can’t make all 8 weeks? Don’t worry! We have a new 5 class punch card available. Choose which weeks you can attend, and keep your wallet happy.

What started out as a small production on a dirt lot, has today turned into a thriving local market with food vendors, art, fresh produce, and more! The Flagstaff Community Market is dedicated to providing an outlet for small-scale vendors the opportunity to thrive in our community by giving them a place to sell their local, sustainably grown food as well as other hand-crafted products. This market also promotes education in the community and works to encourage those in rural and urban parts in the city to grow their own food. The Flagstaff Community Market started in 2000 and now has a partner market focused solely on supporting local artisans called the Flagstaff Urban Flea Market. Please come and enjoy each of the markets and discover what Flagstaff locals have in store for you!

Stop by the NACA Oak Creek Overlook Vista for beautiful & authentic Native American crafts! Our Artisans can also be found at the Grand Canyon Tusayan Museum!

Sign up for Summer Reading, then log your minutes to earn cool prizes!  Starting May 21, there are three ways to participate in Summer Reading--- please choose ONE:  Sign up at the Youth Desk and receive a paper reading log to track your minutes, Sign up and log your minutes online at https://prescottpl.beanstack.org, Get the Beanstack app, then sign up and log your minutes through the app. Youth Summer Reading at Prescott Public Library runs May 21 - July 25. Summer Reading is presented with funding from the Friends of the Prescott Public Library.  

FORM & FACE: Abstract Bodies and Masked Identities
April 24th – May 31st, 2026

This dynamic exhibition features the work of acclaimed artists Zarco Guerrero and Kevin Titzer, exploring the intersections of abstraction, the human form, and identity. Through sculptural masks, figurative assemblage, and evocative materials, Form and Face challenges viewers to consider how identity is constructed, concealed, and revealed. Join us for the opening reception on April 24, 2026, and experience this bold exploration of body and persona.

The ‘Tis Art Center & Gallery, in partnership with the Museum of Indigenous People, invites the public to experience “Journeys in Spirit 2026: Traditional and Contemporary Native Art.” This premier annual exhibition, held in Prescott, Arizona, is a free community event showcasing the rich cultural heritage and diverse artistic expressions of Native American artists. Running from May 13 through June 23, 2026, the showcase features a stunning collection of paintings, basketry, jewelry, photography, beadwork, and ceramics.

The exhibition highlights the extraordinary talent of artists with tribal affiliations including Hopi, Cherokee, Diné, Yaqui, Choctaw, Muskogee Creek, Yavapai, and more. Visitors will gain unique insight into the role of art as a vehicle for storytelling and the preservation of sacred traditions. Many participating artists live within their tribal communities, bringing authentic and powerful cultural narratives to this immersive gallery experience.

Event Location and Reception Details The exhibition is hosted at ‘Tis Art Center & Gallery, located at 105 South Cortez Street, Prescott, AZ 86303. A special Artist Reception will take place during Prescott’s 4th Friday Art Walk on May 22 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM. This reception offers a rare opportunity for guests to engage directly with the creators, learning about their specific techniques and the personal stories behind their work.
