Every morning, a volunteer naturalist leads a guided nature walk informing visitors about the different life zones of Red Rock State Park. The subjects discussed on this walk may include geology, wildlife, history, archeology, and plant life. The naturalists welcome questions during the walk, enhancing the learning experience. The program is included with park entrance fees.

Red Rock State Park has been a destination for Native Americans for several millennia. Most of the ancient features found in the park are from the Sinagua culture dating about 1100 to 1425 AD. The guide will point out the various archaeological features visible from park trails and interpret them into the wider context of regional Sinagua sites. This program begins with a presentation in the theater followed by a walk along easy to moderate trails. This program is included with park entrance fees. However, due to limited group size, reservations are required. Please call 928-282-6907 to make reservations.

Come sip tea and make crafts in this in-person craft program for adults. This month, we will make mosaics out of beans. This craft is designed for all skill levels and is led by instructor Danielle Derois. Due to limited supplies and materials, registration is limited to 25 people, and each registrant is restricted to one craft per month. Group registration is not permitted, individual sign-ups only. Craft is subject to change.  CrafTea Time takes place monthly from September through May and is presented with funding from the Friends of Prescott Public Library.

Prescott Public Library is participating in The Big Read presented by the National Endowment of the Arts. This year's theme is Emily Dickinson, so this workshop will use Dickinson's poetry as a springboard for their own poetic writing. Workshop leader Kristen Kauffman will be guiding patrons through the poetic form so that writers have enough structure to know what to write, but not so much structure that they are stuck.  Space is limited, so registration is required. Patrons should plan on bringing something to write with, but reading materials will be supplied.

This exhibition celebrates drawing as a shared practice rooted in collaboration, and creative exchange. Artists affiliated with the Hozhoni Foundation, a nonprofit serving people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, worked alongside invited artists to create the drawings presented here, responding to one another’s ideas, marks, and approaches.

Throughout the exhibit, a rotating selection of curated student projects inspired by these works will extend the dialogue through observation, interpretation, and response.

Looking for a relaxed and enjoyable way to spend the afternoon? Game-n-Gab offers a friendly space to play a variety of board games, card games, party games, and puzzles, all while engaging in great conversation. Come solo or bring a friend and enjoy a low-key, social atmosphere.
