What started out as a small production on a dirt lot, has today turned into a thriving local market with food vendors, art, fresh produce, and more! The Flagstaff Community Market is dedicated to providing an outlet for small-scale vendors the opportunity to thrive in our community by giving them a place to sell their local, sustainably grown food as well as other hand-crafted products. This market also promotes education in the community and works to encourage those in rural and urban parts in the city to grow their own food. The Flagstaff Community Market started in 2000 and now has a partner market focused solely on supporting local artisans called the Flagstaff Urban Flea Market. Please come and enjoy each of the markets and discover what Flagstaff locals have in store for you!

Over the weekend of October 10-11, 2026, the 35th Annual Sedona Arts Festival will showcase a diverse lineup of more than 100 juried artists from across the country. Held on the campus of Sedona Red Rock High School, 995 Upper Red Rock Loop Road in West Sedona, this renowned fine art festival will also feature live music, food trucks and more, all set against the breathtaking backdrop of Sedona’s red rocks. The festival will run from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. on Saturday and 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. on Sunday.

Considered Sedona’s oldest and largest premier arts event, the Sedona Arts Festival will be celebrating its 35th birthday with award-winning artists working in a wide array of mediums, including glass, painting, metal, woodworking, photography, ceramics and more. The festival enjoys a great mix of returning artists, along with new artists that keep the show fresh and interesting each year.

The Sedona Arts Festival rounds out its offerings with a variety of food truck choices alongside live music throughout the weekend. The lineup will be announced in the fall. Gourmet Row features locally produced kitchen, bath and home items available for sale.

Spend the weekend surrounded by art, creativity, and the charm of Old Town Cottonwood at the Arizona Wine Country Artists Village, October 9–11 at Old Town Activity Park.

This free, outdoor art and craft fair brings together talented artists and makers from across Arizona and the region, offering a chance to shop original, one-of-a-kind pieces you won’t find in a typical store. Meet the artists behind the work, watch them create, learn about their craft, and find something special to take home.

There’s something for everyone, including a free scavenger hunt and raffle with artist-donated prizes and a $500 cash grand prize, plus a hands-on Children’s Art Activity Tent where kids can get creative and make their own artwork.

And when you’re ready for a break, you’re just steps from everything that makes Old Town Cottonwood a favorite destination. Grab a bite, explore local shops and galleries, or visit one of the area’s nearby wine tasting rooms.

Admission is free, and the event is family and pet-friendly. Come browse. Come discover. Come meet the artists. And maybe find something you’ll love enough to take home.

Every morning, a volunteer naturalist leads a guided nature walk informing visitors about the different life zones of Red Rock State Park. The subjects discussed on this walk may include geology, wildlife, history, archeology, and plant life. The naturalists welcome questions during the walk, enhancing the learning experience. The program is included with park entrance fees.

Join our knowledgeable volunteers as they discuss how Sedona transformed into the landscape that we see today. This interpretive experience begins with a theater presentation followed by a short, easy to moderate walk. Please bring water and wear suitable footwear. This program is included with your park entry fee. However, group size is limited and reservations are required. Please call 928-282-6907 to reserve your spot in the program. The Artist’s Path, Inc. presents the film version of Micki Shelton’s 2023 stage play: "La Posada." Filmed before a live audience, capturing staging, sets, and lighting, the film of Micki Shelton’s stage play lets you relive the light-hearted story behind Mary Colter’s historic Arizona gem—La Posada Hotel and Gardens in Winslow, Arizona.

Looking for an excuse to hang out with cool people and make some art? Look no further! Come, relax, and participate in group sketching prompts. This is NOT an art class, but beginners are more than welcome!
Extra drawing utensils and paper pads will be provided.

oin us for the Healthy Kids Running Series – Flagstaff, a fun and inclusive five-week running program for kids ages 2–14! Held at Buffalo Park, each week features age-appropriate races ranging from a 50-yard dash to a 1-mile run, giving kids of all abilities the chance to get moving, build confidence, and experience the excitement of crossing the finish line.

Whether your child is an experienced runner or trying their very first race, everyone is welcome. Come enjoy an active afternoon with the Flagstaff community while encouraging healthy habits, perseverance, and a lifelong love of movement!

Early Artist Entry NOW OPEN
The Flagstaff Plein Air Festival will take place from October 4–25, 2026, challenging both painters and photographers to capture the beauty of the Northern Arizona region, on location. This multi-day event blends artistic practice with community engagement, environmental awareness, and visual storytelling.

At the culmination of the festival, participants will showcase their work in a professionally juried exhibition. The public is welcome to watch the artists at work throughout the week, participate in a variety of workshops and presentations, and purchase completed artwork at the culminating First Glimpse Reception and Sale. A two-week Festival Exhibition to follow.
