We invite you to volunteer at Riordan Mansion State Historic Park!

The duplex-style Riordan Mansion remains one of the finest examples of American Arts and Crafts-
style architecture open to the public today. Designed by the architect of the impressive El Tovar Hotel
at the Grand Canyon, Charles Whittlesey, the homes were built in 1904 with indoor plumbing, hot
and cold running water, central heat, and electric lights, reflecting the most modern technology and
design of the time.
Seen by guided tour only, the interiors of the Riordan family homes look essentially as they did in 1904.
The homes showcase original family belongings including fine examples of early Stickley furniture.

Volunteer opportunities available include Front Desk, Interpretive Tours, Grounds and Maintenance services.

Join NAU Art Museums at the beautiful Clara M. Lovett Art Museum on the 2nd floor of historic Old Main for an exhibit highlighting the works of the School of Art and Design faculty.

The show will be open February 17, through April 25, 2026. Tuesdays through Saturdays

Established in 1997, the Northern Arizona Book Festival (NOAZBF) is a literary nonprofit based out of Kinłání (aka the bordertown of Flagstaff, Arizona). It coordinates readings, panels, workshops, contests, and more that reflect the literary interests and cultural issues that define life in the Colorado Plateau region of Northern Arizona. As part of its regular programming, the NOAZBF includes the Indigenous Writers’ Symposium, Young Readers’ Festival, and Flagstaff Off-the-Page (FLG OTP, new in Fall 2021). Throughout the year, the NOAZBF collaborates with and/or supports the Northern Arizona Playwriting Showcase, the Northern Arizona University MFA Program, Cinder Skies Reading Series, Juniper House Reading Series, Flagstaff Poetry Slam, Northern Arizona University VisualDesignLab, the McCallister Program for Community, Culture and Environment, Red Ink.,Thin Air Magazine, Carbon Copy, Curios, Eggtooth Editions, Tolsun Books, Salina Bookshelf, Abalone Mountain Press, Outspokin’ and Bookish, Poetry Out Loud, Kin’Lani Bordertown Dormitory, the National Park Service, Northern Arizona Museum, and Bright Side Bookshop.

Stop by the NACA Oak Creek Overlook Vista for beautiful & authentic Native American crafts! Our Artisans can also be found at the Grand Canyon Tusayan Museum!

The Overlook Vista is open daily from 8 AM to 4 PM, depending on the weather. Crafts that can be found at our Artisans' tables include jewelry, ornaments, pottery, sculptures and much more! Check out the Oak Creek Overlook Facebook and Yelp pages for more info and up-to-date hours.

Our monthly-guided geology hike will be held at 1:00 p.m on the 2nd Sunday of the month from October through May. The program starts with a presentation in the theater. Join our knowledgeable volunteers as they venture out on our trails and discuss how Sedona transformed into what we see today. The program typically lasts two hours and is included with park entrance fees.

Red Rock State Park is located at the base of the Mogollon Rim, the southern edge of the Colorado Plateau. The escarpment is over 200 miles long and ranges in height from 2,000 to 3,000 feet over the valley below. Over millions of years of erosion the rim has receded over four miles leaving behind the picturesque features of Sedona.
