naclgbtla.org

Coconino County Supervisor Liz Archuleta has stepped down to accept a position in the Biden-Harris administration.

Archuleta says details about her job will likely be announced next week. She served on the Board of Supervisors for 24 years and held numerous leadership positions including chair.

Archuleta was the first Latina to serve on the board and led the effort to create the Colorado Plateau Water Advisory Council. She also spearheaded recovery efforts from the Schultz and Museum fires near Flagstaff.

The Board of Supervisors will appoint a replacement for her district 2 seat. Archuleta ran unopposed in the November general election.
