An eclectic market featuring a mix of vintage, upcycled, artisan, antiques, previously loved treasures! Grab some lunch too! Located on Rte 66 in historic downtown Flagstaff.

How do you communicate what you hold dear to your heart? You've been taking pictures for years--of birthday parties, graduations, sunsets. Should you create a video instead?

What does a still-photo video require? Should you start by writing a script or wait to see how elements come together? How do you weave interviews and music into the script? What equipment will you need? Who do you want to share your video with? Michael Collier will share his experiences and offer his guidance!

Michael has been a photographer for sixty years. He's also been a Grand Canyon boatman, a pilot, an NAU geologist, and a physician.

Join us for a Science Day at MNA our free Open House for the Flagstaff Festival of Science. Enjoy hands-on activities focused on the festival theme, Driven by Curiosity. We’ll learn about neon, build popsicle stick bridges, and navigate a clay road. Special guests from NAU’s Engineering Department will showcase their projects and research. Visitors can also enjoy our exhibits including, Wagon Road to Mother Road.

Free talk: Celebrating the Song Dogs 1pm

Presented by the Flagstaff Festival of Science. Stop by for a humorously themed lecture about the natural and cultural history of coyotes in the Americas, their place in lore and literature, and some of the exciting things that set them apart as nature’s “tricksters.” This is a free event and all ages are welcome.

Free talk: Safe and Connected: Roadways and Wildlife 2pm

Presented by the Flagstaff Festival of Science. Biologists and transportation officials are working to reduce collisions between vehicles and wildlife. Find out how research is helping to make northern Arizona roadways safer while maintaining habitat connectivity.

Join award-winning author Amy M. Hale for an engaging exploration of place, nature, and the sacred everyday.

Hale lives and works on Spider Ranch, a 50,000-acre cattle operation in the rugged terrain of Central Arizona, where she and her husband, Gail Steiger, cowboy together while working to raise food sustainably and care for the land in partnership with government agencies.

Hale and Steiger frequently share the stage, blending storytelling, poetry, and music in performances inspired by their deep connection to the land and natural world.

In her sixth book, "Drinking Wild Water" (TTUP, 2025), Hale explores the landscapes she inhabits and invites readers to discover and inhabit their own place in the world. Her distinctive voice, shaped by flash writing and slam poetry, offers a thoughtful perspective for anyone seeking a deeper relationship with the everyday and looking to move beyond what is safe but limiting.

Admission is $15 for non-members and $10 for museum members.

"Let's get kids wild about reading! What better gift to give your child than the love of books and reading? Learn more about giving your child this gift of reading and school readiness at our 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten kickoff. Join us for a interactive Storytime, craft activities and face painting, onboarding stations to get your starter pack, free books, and light refreshments. For families with children ages 0-5. Drop-in to the weekly Casual Chess program, where adult and teen players of all levels are welcome. Whether you're brand new to the game, a casual player, or an advanced competitor, Casual Chess offers a supportive and engaging environment. Come play, learn, and enjoy chess with others in your community. Boards and clocks will be available.  Chess Meetup is held in partnership with Prescott Chess Club. Club membership is not required. 

Join Flagstaff Open Space as we hike the Arizona Trail at Picture Canyon starting at the trailhead at 3920 N El Paso Flagstaff Rd, and head north to the tunnel at Rt 89, and come back. It is about 4 miles, fairly flat.
