Wildflower Morning Walk

The high desert wakes up slowly — and there’s no better way to greet it than on foot, surrounded by color. Join an Arboretum staff naturalist for a morning walk through the gardens as Northern Arizona’s native wildflowers reach their seasonal peak. From the delicate blooms of desert penstemon to the vivid sprawl of summer prairie, our knowledgeable guides will help you see the landscape the way a botanist does — with curiosity, care, and a deep appreciation for what makes the Colorado Plateau so extraordinary.

Every step reveals something worth noticing.

Please bring water, a camera, and comfortable walking shoes.

This event, known as parkrun, takes place every Saturday morning - same time, same place, same 5K distance. Run, walk, jog, walk the dog, push the grandchildren in a stroller, or volunteer - this event is free, for everyone, forever. It is an opportunity to get outside into the fresh air with a bunch of like-minded folks. It’s is worldwide. Every Saturday about 350,000 people all around the world are doing their own local parkrun. Visit our website and complete a one-time registration so your parkrun efforts can be recorded. Join us for our 29th year! "See your neighbors. Meet your farmers. Know your food." The Prescott Farmers Market takes place Saturdays from 7:30am to 12:00pm at 900 Iron Springs Road (Dignity Health, YRMC Miller Valley lot at Iron Springs/Miller Valley) from April 4 through October 31, 2026. This market hosts local farmers, ranchers and food and craft vendors each week. Customers can find fresh specialty produce, meat, seafood, eggs, bread, baked goods, delicious ready-to-eat foods and more. As a vital part of the economy, the mission of Prescott Farmers Market is to support and expand local agriculture, cultivate a healthy community and increase access to affordable local food. We accept cash, credit, debit and FMNP coupons for WIC/CSFP, and DOUBLE EBT/SNAP benefits! *Pets/support dogs are not allowed at the market. Step inside Flagstaff’s most remarkable homes during the Flagstaff Symphony Guild’s annual Home Tour. This self-guided experience offers a rare glimpse into five stunning residences—plus the Pioneer Museum, for a total of 6 properties—that showcase architectural beauty, creative design, and the spirit of our mountain town.

Home Tour Details: August 15, 2026, 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM
Tickets & Reservations ($40)

Reserve your tickets online and enjoy a personal touch—your physical tickets will be mailed directly to you if purchase by August 6. After that date, all physical tickets must be picked up on the day of the tour at Continental Country Club (2380 N Oakmont Dr Flagstaff, AZ 86004), beginning at 9:30 AM.
Physical tickets are required at the door of each home to enter. Note. There is nothing you need to print. Just present the physical ticket that was mailed to you, or that you picked up the day of the Home Tour.

Same-day ticket sales will also be available at Continental Country Club from 9:30 AM to 12:00 PM.

Few encounters in nature stop you in your tracks quite like a raptor in flight. Join Michelle from the International Raptor & Falconry Center for a captivating program on the raptors that share our skies — and the urgent conservation work being done to protect them worldwide.

Through live bird demonstrations and an up-close look at some of the world’s most remarkable birds of prey, Michelle will explore the vital role raptors play in healthy ecosystems, the threats they face across the globe, and what humans have learned from thousands of years of falconry’s intimate relationship with these birds.

An experience equally at home in the ancient and the wild — right here in the heart of Flagstaff.

Drop-in to the weekly Casual Chess program, where adult and teen players of all levels are welcome. Whether you're brand new to the game, a casual player, or an advanced competitor, Casual Chess offers a supportive and engaging environment. Come play, learn, and enjoy chess with others in your community. Boards and clocks will be available.  Chess Meetup is held in partnership with Prescott Chess Club. Club membership is not required.
