We invite you to volunteer at Riordan Mansion State Historic Park!

The duplex-style Riordan Mansion remains one of the finest examples of American Arts and Crafts-
style architecture open to the public today. Designed by the architect of the impressive El Tovar Hotel
at the Grand Canyon, Charles Whittlesey, the homes were built in 1904 with indoor plumbing, hot
and cold running water, central heat, and electric lights, reflecting the most modern technology and
design of the time.
Seen by guided tour only, the interiors of the Riordan family homes look essentially as they did in 1904.
The homes showcase original family belongings including fine examples of early Stickley furniture.

Volunteer opportunities available include Front Desk, Interpretive Tours, Grounds and Maintenance services.

Help us preserve history, learn and share the story of Flagstaff.

"Does your child love stories and furry friends? Join us for a tail-wagging good time that nurtures literacy, one paw at a time. Paws for Reading offers a relaxed space where children can read aloud to registered therapy dogs. This program helps build reading confidence, improve fluency, and make reading fun!

This event is for all writers, from the novice to the professional. Come join us as we discuss writing-issues in a multiple roundtable setting. The various writing genres that will be represented include Memoir, Mystery, Romance, Fantasy, Western, Historical Fiction, Creative Nonfiction, Sci-Fi and Horror-Thriller writing. Prescott Writers is hosted by Central Arizona Writers and presented with funding from the Friends of the Prescott Public Library.
