"The Connections Project is a 10 week program, taking place on Fridays from March 6 - May 8, that aims to assist participants in learning to utilize technology to increase their connectedness with friends, family, and others who share similar interests. During the first 5 weeks, participants are taught basics of a mobile tablet including turning it on/off, charging the battery, logging in with an email and password, writing emails, getting on the internet, and taking/sharing pictures. Towards the second half of the 10 week class, participants will learn how to use the device to connect with friends and family through email and virtual platforms such Zoom and Google Meet. Participants can also attend live classes or watch pre-recorded classes on hundreds of topics through the Virtual Senior Center (Enliveo) website. Note: If attendees attend 80% of the classes, they will be able to keep the device at the end of the program. Registration Required. Please call Kristin Moore at 928-779-7087 to register. Hear music by local chamber players and special guests every month during the Third Friday Chamber Music Series. This month, members of the Central Arizona Concert Band percussion section will perform on Marimba, Xylophone, Vibraphone, and more. All programs are subject to change. The Third Friday Chamber Music series is arranged and hosted by Suzanne Fisher.

This event, known as parkrun, takes place every Saturday morning - same time, same place, same 5K distance. Run, walk, jog, walk the dog, push the grandchildren in a stroller, or volunteer - this event is free, for everyone, forever. It is an opportunity to get outside into the fresh air with a bunch of like-minded folks. It’s is worldwide. Come celebrate World Water Day 2026 at Slide Rock State Park on Saturday, March 21 from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.! Hosted by the city of Sedona's Sustainability Department, the Oak Creek Watershed Council, and Arizona Water Company, interact with various organizations from around the area in celebration of World Water Day.
Through hands-on activities, you will get a chance to survey macroinvertebrates in the Oak Creek, learn how water moves underground, and discover how stormwater flows through Sedona. Upon completing three different event activities, attendees will be entered to win a special prize! For this special event, there will be a food truck on-site for anyone to purchase a meal while visiting the park during the event hours.
